Description

Original UK Pegasus label stereo 1st press LP. This is the third LP by Atomic Rooster and the first record issued by Pegusus Records, with the backing tracks recorded by Vincent Crane, John Cann and Paul Hammond. The finished album's sound was dominated by Crane and Hammond, with many of Cann's guitar parts either not used or placed lower in the mix. This is a very early miss-pressing with the labels reversed and the earliest A-1U B-1U matrices and 1- 2- stampers.
The E. J. Day Group matt gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some very light corner/edge wear and a little faint rubbing on the outer cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain company inner is intact & in EX condition.   The record is in visually EX condition, with only a couple of faint & wispy sleeve removal hairlines marks visible on each side & a small needle scuff on track 3 side A which causes a couple of low clicks. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with only one or two very faint spindle markings on either side.   The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves and a couple of low clicks on track 3 on side A, overall a really great, loud & punchy listen!!   The matrix nos. are; PEG-1, A-1U mother stamper 1-, B-1U mother stamper 2-.
This is one of very earliest copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1971 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!     All records are checked on an Acoustic Research deck before being listed and any flaws noted in the listing, so if you have any problems with the record please contact me for a full refund of original price & postage on return of the record (no partial refunds), no quibbles, no problems!!    All grades are those used in the Record Collector Guide.
