Atomic Rooster - Death Walks Behind You, 1970 UK Original B&C Records CAS-1026 THE LEMON SONG IS LISTED ON SLEEVE, AND ON KILLING FLOOR ON LABEL Catalouge number: B&C Records CAS-1026
This has the following first press matrix numbers: Side 1: CAS-1026 A- 1U
Side 2: CAS-1026 B- 1U
Vinyl EX Clean surface. Under bright light fine hairlines, scuffs, two marks at the side 1 and one thin scratch at the side 2. I have played the record from the beginning to the end and it sounds superb without any background noise and virtually without any crackle. Sometimes it seems that you are listening to CD and not record. There are slight repetitive clicks at "Death Walks Behind You" on the side 1 and at "Nobody Else" on the side 2. They are not so loud (audible only in quiet parts) and virtualy do not spoil very enjoyable and expressive sounding. But..... they are. So I grade both side as EX. But in the rest you get simply stunning very clear audio of the first press.
Labels VG+ Clean and bright. There are 3 letters J.P.V on the first side (please see photo).
Sleeve VG+ Mat original gatefold sleeve is in decent condition with moderate signs of use. Just a little light rubbing on the front cover. Small tear and ring wear on the back side. (please see photo).
Spine VG+ (please see photo).
Inner sleeve VG+ The original inner sleeve has small splits but is still in nice condition (please see photo).
Superb example of a great album with Excellent Clear Audio.
Grading System: In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records, I have added a (+) or (-) to my gradins where applicable.
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
