Description

Superb quality single collection just in, all top quality mainly japanese and audiophile pressings of vintage modern jazz. Bought new and cherished by someone who had a very high end turntable and system, very large collection so nothing overplayed, every one of them heard so far plays beautifully.

Audiophile Japan King Press Blue Note Johnny Griffin The Congregation  5 star rating for this album on AMG, killer contributions from pianist Sonny Clark, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Kenny Dennis, Griffin is exuberant on "The Congregation" (which is reminiscent of Horace Silver's "The Preacher"), thoughtful on the ballads, and swinging throughout.. If you have ever heard the difference between a Blue note on european labels or King, you will know that the name is fitting, these are the Kings of pressings - beautiful silent surfaces, fantastic masterings and the only true rivals to 1st US press (for these BNs), but on quieter vinyl. These luxurious early Asian issues have antistat inners & hard card sleeves, a real quality feel to them. With a modern narrow profile stylus this sounds fantastic.

Unmarked playing surfaces, Near Mint condition record, in a Near Mint sleeve. Record not warped, labels are clean..

Good selection of rarities in our list this week..
