This item comes from a collection of rare and desirable classical records which I have been collecting over the years. There are many highly sought after "Golden Age" stereo pressings form Decca SXL, Columbia SAX, HMV ASD, Philips 'Hi-Fi Stereo', Mercury Living Presence, RCA Living Stereo series, audiophile and TAS listed items, and early mono pressings on Les Discophiles Francais, Ducretet-Thomson, Lumen, Pre-Melodiya etc. Featuring artists and conductors such as Furtwangler, Ansermet, Klemperer, Cluytens, Kempe, Szell, Campoli, Ricci, Oistrakh, Milstein, Kogan, Shafran, Rostropovich, Starker, Fournier, Mainardi, Martzy, Ida Haendel and many others.

Rare and sought-after original first stereo pressing on Capitol label SP 8481. Made in France.
The record is very well-preserved and I would grade it as a conservative EX+ with only a couple of very light non-sounding marks visible in strong light; there are no spindle marks on the label. I have play-graded this LP from beginning to end and the playback was strong EX+ with very little interference only. The cover is in EX condition with a minor corner dent and a tiny sticker on the back. A very rare audiophile LP that is seldom seen in such a superb condition!

To make life easier, I offer free registered shipping to any destination in the world (no exclusions). All items are packaged 'snugly' to prevent internal movement damage, double-boxed if needed, using high-quality materials. The LP is first removed from the cover and then placed in a protective plastic outer sleeve to avoid seam splits. Extra care is taken with fragile items such as shellac discs and boxed sets.
