This collection was originally issued in Jamaica way back in 1972..........This is the UK vinyl release from 1989. Issued on the Impact label with a catalogue number of REBEL 1. Cut and pressed in the UK it is a Porky Prime Cut. This LP is not the same track listing as Java Java Java Java. A fantsatic collection of early Reggae starting with the wonderful Java and many more delicious early cuts....Most are on You Tube for you to check out. All the tracks were recorded at Randy's Recording Studio, engineered at the time by Errol Thompson and re-mixed by Errol and Clive Chin. The vinyl is visually graded as NM with no scuffs or marks and both labels are clean and mark free. The outer sleeve has no bashes or creases or bends, there is a little yellowing on the edges, but quite feint. This is the 1989 UK issue not any later re-issue. There is a little variation of volume and quality between tracks but this is due to the fairly primitive recording techniques used at the time. This pressing has no problems apart from a click at the start of side two track two for three revolutions.... Other than that there are no pops or crackles or surface noise. PLEASE NOTE: There is a copy listed on ebay with this cover but it is NOT this LP, it lists a barcode that is for the LP Java Java Java Java....so it is NOT this LP at a cheaper price.
