Description

Member of Keystone Record Collectors since 1978. Item obtained from attendee of concert (includes notorized letter) held in Lambertville NJ June 7th-June 12th 1960 at St John Terrell's MUSIC CIRCUS.  Includes PLAYBILL with many local business in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Slight dog ear on upper right of program. Lists members of LOUIS ARMSTRONG and his ALL STARS in AMERICAN JAZZ FESTIVAL. Barney Bigard-Clarinet, Trummy Young-Trombone, Mort Herbert-(sp) Base, Billy Kyle-Piano, Danny Barcelona- Drums, Velma Middletown-Vocalist and "Satchmo" Louis Armstrong. Box Set contains 4 LP's Decca DXM-155. Cover, Good Plus some yellow from age.  Outside of spine on Cover split, (can be repaired) cover intact with inside attached. Two back corners of box shows dented dog ears. This item is 44 year old!  In side cover of record set is signed by members of band and "Satchmo" Louis Armstrong. 2 LP separators  in box with Louis's picture. 4 Lp's M- in original "satchmo" plastic sleeves.

Local PA specialty autograph collector shares..." Louis Armstrong autograph alone is listed in the Sanders Guide at $200.00. The Sanders Guide is the authority for autographs. I believe the entire archive you're offering should have a reserve of at least $100.00-125.00. You can consider this and perhaps amend your price.( old45s says no reserve) Also in-person signings (such as yours) carry a higher premium since the use of secretarial and autopens would not be in evidence. A signed photo of Louis is listed at $422.00 (FYI). Trummy Young autograph is listed at $15.00, Velma Middletown at $25".
