Lot of 1 Vinyl LP Record copy of: Chick Corea & Return to Forever “Where Have I Known You Before” PD-6509 autographed by Chic Corea and dedicated: “For Bob, Here is to losing the Vinyl is in Beautiful NM to Mint Minus Condition!!!
My stepfather Bobtodd is a 2 state Radio Hall of Fame DJ that is why I have so many Promotional Not for Sale & Demonstration Not for Sale Radio DJ Copy only Albums. This particular album Bobtodd had signed while at WGSO New Orleans
He met Maynard Ferguson and George Benson while MCing a promotional show in New Orleans which was attended by Chick Corea (he later had Chick on his show at another time) & Steve Gadd as well who were also touring for “Mad Hatter”, (please see the photos listed regarding Bob’s radio show) doing weeks in and out of the Jazz Capital; New Orleans. Bob had Chick as a guest on his show in 1978 as a result of that meeting while Chick was promoting this album. When Chick was there he and Bob ended up having a bet over song lyrics and Bob won the bet which meant Chick had to sign 5 more albums for him; hence the dedication “Here’s to losing bets”.
Bob was well know in the Jazz scene because WGSO, his paid gig station, had him as a top-40 DJ yet he would often play and/or introduce Jazz acts especially locals. The list was long but everyone listed above, Billy Cobham, Stan Getz, Woody Shaw, Alvin Alcorn and many more
We really don’t want to sell these autographed albums but we are raising money for something important. Please take that into consideration when you send an offer but all reasonable offers will be considered.
Condition: the Vinyl is in NM+, Near Mint Plus so 8.5 out of 10, the album cover is definitely a little bit worn, but would grade Very good + to excellent minus or 5.0 to 6.0 out of 10. The inner sleeve is in EX+ Excellent Plus to NM- Near Mint Minus Condition. The autographs are in great untouched condition.
