Autographed Cinderella Soundtrack Record Album - Original Live Broadcast March 31, 1957 CBS Network TV

Cinderella was created as a Broadway-style television production with an original score from Rodgers and Hammerstein, featuring such songs as "In My Own Little Corner," "Impossible," "Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful," and "Stepsisters' Lament." Cast in the title role was the 21-year-old Andrews, at the time starring on New York's Broadway in My Fair Lady, and the cast was filled out by a talented bunch of stage veterans (including Kaye Ballard, Edie Adams, Dorothy Stickney, and Stickney's husband, writer Howard Lindsay). On March 31, 1957, a record 120 million homes viewed the program as it was broadcast on the CBS TV network, live and in color, but, it was preserved only in black-and-white kinescope, i.e., by aiming a camera at a monitor during the broadcast. There were no VTR or VCR then.

The CBS live television production of Cinderella - (Columbia OL 5190) starring Julie Andrews - music by Richard Rodgers - featuring Dorothy Stickney, Howard Lindsay, Ilka Chase, Kaye Ballard, Alice Ghostly, Jon Cypher, and Edith Adams - Live TV broadcast and this album was release later in US in 1957.  This LP cover is in good condition. The vinyl record is fair-good condition and is playable.

Provenance:  My father was a career TV broadcast engineer who worked on this live production at the CBS production studios on West 57th Street in New York.  As an technical engineer he worked in the control room, the studio, and stage and was there for all the rehearsals, camera blocking and run-throughs and the actual live network broadcast.

This album cover is signed by almost the complete Principal Cast (missing 1) and even the Production Crew.  The Producer, Richard Lewine, wrote a comment to my father along with his autograph.  It is autographed by the following cast members:

 Actual vinyl is in fair to good playable condition.  Album cover is in fair condition with the top seam of the album cover partially torn. (See photos). Complete with original paper inner liner.
