Lot of 1 Vinyl LP Record copy of: Keith Jarrett “Treasure Island” Gateway Fold AS-9274 Autographed and dedicated “Thanks Bob, Keith Jarrett”
My stepfather Bob (Bobtodd) is a 2 state Radio Hall of Fame DJ - This is why I have so many Promotional Not for Sale & Demonstration Not for Sale Radio DJ Copy only Albums. He had a TV show WVUE and Radio show WGSO in New Orleans and was given the “Key to the City” for New Orleans for having both (See photos). This particular album, along with many others, Bobtodd had signed while at WGSO New Orleans
He met Keith Jarrett who he had on his show as a guest in 1979 and who was promoting the Album “Nude Ant” in the Jazz Capital; New Orleans. Keith signed this and 2 other albums for Bob. Bob was a Top-40 DJ for WGSO, again, please see photos, but would give airtime to his favorite musicians, usually Jazz Musicians, at least one song a day even though his format was top-40. He had a long-standing relationship and reputation within the jazz community and has over, as of last count, 100 albums autographed by various artists who wanted to show their appreciation for the fact that BOB was required to play top 40 and would still give airtime to the jazz, Soul, R&B, and other musicians.
We really don’t want to sell these autographed albums but we are raising money for something important. Please take that into consideration when you send an offer but all reasonable offers will be considered.
Condition: the Vinyl is in EX+, Excellent Plus, Condition with a couple of Superficial surface scratches that don’t affect the play quality so it would grade 6.5 to 7.0 out of 10. The Cardboard cover and Gateway fold center is in the same Condition as the Vinyl EX+ to NM- so 6.5 to 7.0 out of 10 as the photos show. The dedication and autograph are in great untouched condition.
