Description
This is a Long Playing record of the Dubliners, the sleeve of which is autographed by the five members of the band in 1971. Namely Ciaron Bourke, Barney McKenna, Luke Kelly, Ronnie Drew and John Sheehan. I obtained these autographs when I visited them in their dressing room after a concert at Guildford, Surrey, on Monday May 3rd 1971. This was the night Arsenal beat Spurs 1-0 to initiate the first leg of the Double. Can't forget Luke Kelly announcing the score, because I think I was the only Arsenal supporter there, because I seemed to be the only one cheering. I was invited to meet them backstage after the show because I went with a friend and a young lady who was very friendly with their Road Manager. These autographs are genuine, in fact Barney wrote me a message in Gaelic underneath his signature. Four of these members are no longer with us for definite, I think the only survivor is John Sheehan who played the fiddle. I am only selling this because my children won't be interested, and I'd like it to go to a Collector.
