Description
This is an auction for the album Into the Electric Castle (A Space Opera) by Ayreon, the progressive metal/space rock project of Arjen Anthony Lucassen.
Originally released in 1998, this edition was released for the album's 20th anniversary in 2018. Arjen had described this as a "remix" rather than a simple reissue. The album is presented on triple black vinyl in a triple gatefold sleeve, with plain black paper inners. The gatefold contains liner notes and credits - there is no insert or booklet.
This copy was pre ordered through the Mascot Label Group website and as such has been signed by Arjen Lucassen himself. It is listed online as limited edition but I'm unsure how many copies were pressed, or how many overall were signed.
I have played the record once or twice only since ordering it and have kept it in a sleeve, upright on a shelf, in a smoke and pet free home. It came with a download card which has already been used. The discs are each in excellent condition, with no marks that would impact playback. One of the discs has some slight wear around the spindle hole, but the centre stickers are all pristine.
The plain inners are all in excellent condition. The outer gatefold is in great shape, it does show some ringwear and there is a slight crease to one edge, as photographed.
I will send the record in a cardboard cruciform mailer with bubblewrap and stiffeners for security. I'll aim to have it posted within three working days of receiving payment.
