Since LP's could not be played in automobiles, as soon as I acquired a new LP I would immediately record it on cassette tape. The LP was then safely stored to preserve it's condition & quality. There are a small number of my LP's that suffered some minor damages to the jackets while moving (several times), but any damage will be shown & described in the listing. *I also clean the LP's in a highly modified Spin Clean Wet Wash System, then place them in a New Clear Anti-Static Sleeve. Any original inner sleeves (and other inserts) are always included with the LP's. I try to do my best to grade the LP & outer Jacket / Cover according to Goldmine Standards but there's always a possibility I may miss something. Here is a NEAR MINT LP of BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN - "DARKNESS On The EDGE Of TOWN" from 1978, Columbia Records / CBS, Catalog # JC 35318. This IS NOT a Re-Issue or a Club Edition, this is an Original 1978 1st US Press by MCA Records Plant (Gloversville, NY) "For Columbia / CBS Records" ! The Plates were Mastered by "The Mastering Lab" (TML, Hollywood, CA) using top of the line "Scully Lathes" This LP has 10 Tracks including the Hits "Badlands", "Streets Of Fire" & "Prove It All Night".
GRADING of Individual Items: The Outer Cover / Jacket is still in it's factory shrink wrap and is 'almost' flawless. There are no saw cuts, corner cuts, holes, etc., but has a very tiny bit of barely visible ring wear at the top and small lower corner crease (or slight bend). Grade = Excellent + to NEAR MINT !
The Original Inner Sleeve is Cardboard (not paper), with a Gray Scale Photo and Credits, is almost perfect with no creases, holes or tears, but has Extremely Minor, not really Ring Wear, but Ring Imprint. Can still be considered: Grade = EX+ to Near Mint (closer to NM) !
The Separate Lyrics Insert Sheet is still just about perfectly flat except for a few minor 'Waves", no tears, rips, holes, etc: Grade = EX+ to Near Mint (closer to NM) ! The LP shows all it's original shine and luster with no scratches or scuffs at all. The labels are excellent and there is no hole wear, LP Grade = Absolutely Near Mint or MINT- !
