Description
BACH / MUNCHINGER / STUTTGART CHAMBER ORCHESTRA ORCHESTRA - " BRANDENBURG CONCERTOS ", The Decca Record Company Ltd (SXL 2125-7) Stereo, 1959.
Very rare, 1959, English early issue Decca 3LP set all with the grooved wideband labels and front laminated sleeves.
Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeves (the original inner sleeves have also been retained and included in the auction - see photo).
CONDITION:
VINYL = EXCELLENT (No proper scratches, no groove damage, no distortion, only the lightest spindle trails, etc. In normal daylight the vinyl appears perfectly clean, under a bright grading lamp I can make out a couple of very light paper scuffs and extremely faint hairline surface marks - although these are purely visual and during playback, these very slight cosmetic flaws don't correspond directly to any audible defects.
On playback, there is some faint surface noise during the silent run-in (in the pressing) which disappears as soon as the music starts. It plays really well - strong, clean and without interuptions.
Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)
SLEEVE = V.G. > V.G.- (All three sleeves have there share of imperfections; all suffer light thumb creases in the laminate and small creases along the spines. All three have slightly grubby backs witha black ink stamp on them. One also suffers a small tear eminating from the open edge - see photos for further clarification)
