"Bach Suites for Unaccompanied Cello (complete)." Mercury Living Presence stereo LP SR 3-9016.  The legendary recording. I have carefully examined them under bright light & located a working turntable to spot check two sides and play all of Side 6. Sides 1, 3 & 5 appear Mint. Sides 2, 4 & 6 show minor vinyl defects or mild scuffs or scratches that do not significantly affect play.

Itemization of found marks: Side 2 has light mark in bands 3 & 4 and a light scratch or scuff in bands 5 & 6, causing a few instances of light noise. Side 4 has 2 apparently singular grooves (& one 2-inch span in another groove) that look lighter/streaked than those around them; I don't know if this is damage or the pressing. The 2-inch span (<1 second) is in band 3 & the others are in band 5. There is some light surface noise near these spots. Side 6 has a 1-inch streak on one groove in band 1; a streak on a groove in band 2 that goes halfway around the record; a mark over the end of band 3 and the start of band 4; and a mark in band 4. A complete listen to Side 6 revealed a few instances of noise. Playback will of course vary system to system. Please use the visual description as your guide. Thank you.

The stamper #s end as follows: Side 1 = RFR-3. Side 2 = RFR-1. Side 3 = RFR2. Side 4 = RFR-2. Side 5 = RFR-2 1. Side 6 = RFR-2.

The spine's binding is split all the way, as seems frequently to have happened with age with this set. The front cover looks new except for some wear along the right side of the paper & two small areas where the outer paper is scuffed off by the left spine. The spine label is intact and otherwise unmarked except for light wear at its top. The plain black box surface of the rear looks new. The 4-page liner notes look almost new but the owner wrote a few words lightly in pencil (which looks eraseable) & check-marked about half of the band names.

The set will be shipped in a heavy-duty cardboard LP/LD mailer with 1-inch oversized protective borders. It will be sent Priority Mail (not Media Mail) if by USPS, but other carriers can be arranged if you request. Insurance is required for this set. For weight/rate purposes, this set weighs 2 1/2 lbs.

Airmail Letter Post provides 4-10 day service to most countries.  It does not offer insurance.  If you require insurance, Airmail Parcel Post can be used, but it is more expensive and much slower.  Please ask for rates after the auction ends.  Shipments valued at $25 or more will ship with a Certificate of Mailing, which provides proof of mailing but is not a declared value or insurance.
