Hi--there was an error with the listing of descriptive information for this item, which follows here.  This is a beautiful box sex of THE COMPLETE ORGAN WORKS OF JOHANN SEBASTIAN BACH--the set contains 217 PIECES and is contained on EIGHTEEN LPs!!  This includes EVERY SINGLE Prelude, Fugue, Chorale, Sonata, Toccata, and Partita by J. S. Bach that is known to exist!!The magnificant performances are by organist WALTER KRAFT, who takes a very respectful and literal approach to Bach's works.  All of the LPs in this set are in between NEAR MINT and VG++.  Much of the vinyl is certainly unplayed (I would estimate that around 75% of the LPs fall into this category, and possibly more), and the vinyl that has any marks at all primarily has paper scuffs and smudges that should not affect play significantly.  The Box itself is in VG+ condition with splits on the top two box edges, a small tear in the upper left hand corner, and general shelfwear (the box bottom is fully intact with some slight fraying around the box bottom edges).  Overall, the set is in fantastic condition!!

Also here is a HUGE booklet of 46 pages that includes comprehensive discographical details, photos of ALL the historic organs that are used for the recordings, biographical details in connection with the pieces, and the famous essay "The Performance of the Organ Works" by ALBERT SCHWEITZER.  Some of the organs include the Silbermann Organ in the Cathedral at Arlesheim, Alsace (for the 1700-1709 works); the Viktor Bossart Organ in the Benedictine Abbey at Maria-Einsiedeln, Switzerland (for 1700-1710 works); the Antonius Wilde Organ in St. Nicolai's Church at Wohrden, North Germany; the Christianus Muller Organ in the Grote Kerk, Haarlem; the "Totentanz" Organ in St. Marienkirche, Lubeck; the Johann Niclas Cahman Organ in Leufsta Bruks Church; the Krist Kirke Organ in Denmark; the Jacob Schierer Organ in St. Nicolai Kirche at Molln, Lauenburg, Germany; the famous Arp Schnitger Organ in St. Ludgeri Kirche at Norden, Ostfriesland, Germany; and many, many others, almost all of which date from Bach's time or earlier (as far back as the 1500s, in fact).  The record is fasinating just on the level of hearing all of these unique historic organs demonstrated!
