BACHDENKEL - LEMMINGS

Rare and sought after prog/psych gem with very sparingly played vinyl, superb audio quality, and original excellent condition outer gatefold sleeve

Year/Label : 1978 INITIAL RECORDING COMPANY UK Label number : IRC 001 STEREO Matrix numbers :  IRC 001 - A1, IRC 001 - B1 and with "BilBo" etched into each run-off Stampers : 2-2  /  1-4
Excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl retaining it's original jet black lacquered sheen and in normal daylight comes across as completely unmarked - a real gleamer. Even with close inspection under a bright light it is difficult to identify any blemishes at all...perhaps just a couple of extremely faint and purely superficial paper scuff lines but that's it - amazing!   The labels are near mint (NM) - pristine, with not even the usual one or two rogue spindle trails.  Clearly, this is a record that has been played only a few times at most.   An excellent (EX) condition front and reverse-side laminated outer sleeve with firm unscuffed edges, rigid spine with all spine text remaining perfectly intact, no laminate lifting, nicely defined right-angled corners with no rubbing, firm opening edges with no fraying, and gorgeous art work. Indeed, all colours, art work, photos and text remain vibrant and beautifully intact. The interior of the gatefold remains difficult to fault, and the only blemishes (too strong a word) are a few 1cm laminate surface creases/crinkles adjacent and perpendicular to the spine on each of the front and reverse sides and the odd small and very, very light handling storage mark - very trivial.  Excellent plus (EX+) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, clicks, or distortion and any background crackle is negligible - just the merest hint of some very background crackle during a couple of the intermissions. Great tone and clarity throughout - this is heavy prog!   Comes with perfect condition fan club flier.   Comes with plain white poly-lined "PLASTIC BAGS CAN BE DANGEROUS" inner sleeve with no splits or edge fraying and just some mild creasing and a little age discolouration (I am not convinced that this is the original inner sleeve, by the way).  Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original.    Overlooked and underrated mid-70's British heavy prog - can't beat it!

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
