Description

Bad Reputation
Is It Live (Or Is It Your Pants) / Star Wars (That's The Politics)
Label: Frolic
Year: 1983

Super rare Massachusetts private-press early rap single from the Original Black Sheep, Billy Sparrow. Complete with a Grandmaster Flash ripoff line ("I don't mean to brag, I don't mean to boast"). Never issued in picture sleeve, and this copy is in super nice shape, just a notch below M- due to some inaudible marks near the edge of the vinyl where it was peeking out of the innersleeve for decades. These do not turn up often.

Listen to "Is It Live (Or Is It Your Pants)":

Condition: */EX (sleeve/vinyl)

GRADING DETAILS Grading Scale: M, M-, EX, VG+, VG, VG-, G

M (mint)
is reserved for unplayed, flawless stock copies. M- (mint minus) is the highest grade for a record in beautiful shape. EX (excellent) means there's a minor flaw on the sleeve (small crease, price sticker) or disc (fingerprint, harmless scratch). VG+ (very good plus) means a sleeve has minor shop wear — is creased and/or shows a ring impression, and the disc shows cosmetic signs of handling. VG (very good) means not for the anal-retentive. The sleeve shows multiple flaws (sticker tear, seam split, ring wear, rumpled top) and the disc has surface noise (no skips or thunderous pops) and multiple small scratches. VG- (very good minus) means the sleeve is "well loved" with numerous flaws while the vinyl is exhibits many flaws and is noisy. G (good) means the sleeve contains major flaws such as large tears, heavy staining, etc., while the vinyl is beat but playable with no skips.
