Let's Join In
Let's Join In was a BBC schools radio series running from the 1940s to the 1990s, covering various topics for primary school pupils
Badjelly the Witch
A brief handwritten, illustrated story by Spike Milligan, created for his children, then printed in 1973. It was made into an audio and a video version. Read by Tony McEwan.
In 1975, in the planning for an audio version for the BBC "infant's programme" Let's Join In, Milligan objected to the planned removal of God from the story. The BBC wrote in a letter that the object was not to put God on the same level as goblins, to which Milligan replied that goblins, fairies and God all exist. However, he allowed God to be removed.
The Three Kings Story
The story of the Three Wise Men who came from the East following a star which was guiding them to Bethlehem, where they would find the baby Jesus. Story read by Edward Kelsey.
About BBC Transcription Services.
BBC Transcription Services discs were only made available to overseas radio stations for broadcast purposes and were not made available for sale to the general public. However, in the early 90s many international BBC libraries sold their stock to the public.
Typically BBC Transcription Services pressed 100 copies of each disc only with instructions to the overseas radio network to destroy the disc at the end of the licence period.

Grading Postage Payment Returns Grading Postage Payment ReturnsAt BresCollect our aim is to give honest grading of all our records. Due to the amount of stock we have to list though we mostly visually grade our vinyl. We will therefore not give a grade higher than VG+ to any record we have not listened to…even if it looks perfect! All our discs are cleaned before sending out.
Any disk that is graded Ex or higher will have been played before grading.
We use the following criteria for grading:
Mint (M) - The record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition.
Excellent (Ex) - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good + (VG+) - The record has obviously been played but has only a few light surface marks. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable
Very Good (VG) - The record has obviously been played many times and has some visible surface marks. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable
Good (G) – The record has visible mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
Postage is standard UK 2nd class small parcel at a cost of £3.50. Additional records are only charged at £1.00 extra for each ordered. All our vinyl records are posted in Lil packaging stiff 12″ LP record mailer....a seriously strong, secure & professional package. Records are removed from their cover before posting to avoid seam splits to the outer sleeve.
