Description
This is a TOP vinyl copy of the classic, 1969 Psychedelic/Progressive Rock/Blues LP "BAKERLOO" by BAKERLOO. This is a STEREO ORIGINAL British issue in overall EXCELLENT condition.
On the collectable Lime Green HARVEST label distributed by EMI; the cat.no. is SHVL 762. Matrix nos. A-2 / B-2 making this a very, very early if not 1st Pressing (my "keeper" copy has the same matrix).
DETAILED DESCRIPTION:-
COVER:-
The outer, laminated outside / matt inside GATEFOLD (Ernest J.Day & Co.) cover is in EXCELLENT condition overall. This one shows little sign of age-wear on the outside & everything is still well intact. Still glossy & with virtually no rub wear (minor corner rub, but hardly noticeable) & just a couple of small, minor creases; the inside is almost as good with just a couple of very small age stains letting it down. See my photos. This cover is actually really good, especially for it's age (41 years !).
The Spine is also EXCELLENT ; perfectly, straight, flat & true with just some corner rubbing preventing an even higher grading.
The Opening & Sealed Edges are EXCELLENT with no feathering & being clean, straight & flat.
All in all an EXCELLENT example of this ultra-collectable cover.
LABELS :-
The LIME GREEN HARVEST record labels with Black print & DARKER GREEN logos are all EXCELLENT+. Just the faintest of visible spindle marks. No other unwanted marks.
INNERS :-
The standard HARVEST Inner (advertising other LPs on the same label) is also EXCELLENT.
THE RECORD ITSELF:-
The heavyweight slab of vinyl is in overall EXCELLENT condition. Side 1 is almost Perfect, no visible marks & I grade it as EXCELLENT+. Side 2 has a couple of noticeable surface marks, but they are not at all deep (not scratches) & do not effect the sound at all; I grade this side as EXCELLENT-. Test played today on my highly critical Linn Sondek LP12 ; All tracks play REALLY, REALLY WELL with just the odd click/crackle & some minor surface noise between tracks & in the quieter passages (I get this on ALL vinyl, even Brand New).
