Description

BAKERY - Momento - LP.

Quality Guarantee - All records are fully played before listing and are guaranteed to be as described.

Vinyl visual description: excellent, a lovely gloss, a couple of light marks on each side, from appearance alone you would expect this LP to play EX excellent, but it does not play quite as good as it looks

Vinyl Playing description: plays VG very good, sound quality is great, loud and clear. There are no loud random pops or repeated pops from scratches. However there is constant very light surface noise heard in quite sections of music and between tracks.

I found this great LP a few weeks ago and have played it three times. Twice to play loud and enjoy the music and my initial impression was -EX with a little surface noise, because it sounded so good. Last playing was with headphones to listen from a critical view and there is fairly constant very light surface noise that is heard in quite music sections and between tracks, so the critical grading must be VG, but still a fine record to enjoy.

Cover: very good cover with no damage, nice and flat, glossy front and back, corners have very minimal wear, gatefold inside has some age spots, but front cover gloss surface has been wiped over with something that has left a smear over about half the cover that has left a smear wipe over impression to the gloss surface, still looks good but not perfect, see photo.

Labels: excellent - clear with no damage, minor spindle wear only that appears worse in the close photos

LABEL: ASTOR ALPS 1035

Information from Milesago Aust music web site - "Bakery was formed in Perth at the start of 1970. Regarded as one of the leading "underground" groups of their day, they are remembered for their superb debut album Momento. In the words of encyclopedist Vernon Joyson, Bakery's work: "... blended hard rock and country with jazz using complex arrangements. Their main strength was the variety of their music which could switch from gentle acoustic passages to booming heavy progressive assaults on the senses within the same song." 1971 release ALPS 1035   Hard Rock, Progressive Rock, Heavy Psych"

              nothing serious

Playing Grading

EX:       plays excellent, slight noise at the start is allowable & a few

             crackles/pops with the remainder excellent

VG:      very good, only occasionally surface noise, not continuous,

+VG used when not quite good enough for EX

G:      more continuous surface noise, especially in quite sections of

music and between tracks, but not bad as to make

the music unemployable, may also have "nasty little scratch"
