Legendary Italian DJ, digger and producer Daniele Baldelli is credited with having birthed the cosmic sound back in the early to mid-80s. A pioneer in the booth in terms of technique, he is just as god-like in his selections. That comes to the fore now as he pulls together a collection of achingly beautiful synth, ambient and disco tracks under the title of Cosmic: St Valentin's Day. As such Leo is very much in the air here, but in a subtle sense, with lush chords and suggestive motifs making this a rich and heart warming collection.
