Rare Original 1969 KELLOGG’S PROMO HANNA BARBERA 45 EP and Picture Sleeve:

"KELLOGG’S PRESENTS THE BANANA SPLITS"

Here we have a great Promotional item from Kellogg’s Cereal. This is an original 1969 release of a 45 and Picture Sleeve of THE BANANA SPLITS. It is a four song EP record that plays at 45 RPM. The beautiful sleeve has vivid psychedelic colors and plugs the Kellogg’s Corporation three times- twice on the front and once on the back! The front of the sleeve shows The Banana Splits playing their instruments and riding in their 6-wheel car, while the back has all the song lyrics plus some more groovy colorful 60’s art.

Not only is this a cool sleeve, but the music on here is pretty great too. We have recorded a clip from two of the songs on this record for you to hear for yourself. The first clip has a Soul and Funk sound, while the second clip is more 60’s flower pop with a hint of psych.

The picture sleeve is in exceptional condition with hardly any surface wear, no splits, no tears, and no writing. There is just a very small amount of light crinkling around the edges, a very light crease near the lower right, and a circle pattern on the sleeve where the record was stored in it for the last 38 years. We recently bought this from a climate controlled storage facility where it has been properly stored for many years. The record is amazingly clean and under a lamp the vinyl shows only a handful of light surface scuffs and a very small amount of superficial surface marking. This record plays through very well and looks like it has seldom been handled and listened to only a few times. The record labels look great.

All 45s are securely packaged in a paper sleeve between pieces of cardboard, and the picture sleeve placed inside plastic.
