THE BANANA SPLITS – “Hey We’re the Banana Splits” (1968) Decca-75075 original pressing EX/Strong VG (cover/record)

This is the soundtrack to the late 1960s Hanna Barbara kiddie show “The Banana Splits,” and it does have the theme song on it, but the real appeal of this one is several era rock tracks with fuzz guitar, and to me, especially the killer “In New Orleans” raga sitar psych track that’s fantastic. Other songs are “I’m Gonna Find a Cave,” “This Spot,” “Doin’ the Banana Split,” “Soul,” “Wait Til Tomorrow,” “You’re the Lovin’ End,” “Don’t Go Away – Go-Go Girl,” and a few others. A rare collectible.

This is an original pressing. Unlike most I see on ebay, this is an original stock copy instead of a promo. The cover has slight aging only – no real wear. The vinyl has some light scuffs and line marks and plays with some very light audible surface noise, but this is still an enjoyable listen. Very close to a VG+ grade. A good way to get a nice play copy for less what pristine copies cost. Conservative grading: EX/Strong VG (cover/record).

I highly recommend postal insurance to protect against any damage that might occur during shipping.

I package all LPs securely in record mailers and remove the vinyl from the covers to prevent seam splits during mailing. I do not just stick your record in a priority mailer box from the post office or between two thin pieces of cardboard with no additional packaging materials like so many others!!!
