This auction is for the complete original vinyl set of Band Aid, Do They Know It's Christmas?, plus various press cuttings.
7" limited edition shaped picture disc
Cut to the shape of the Band Aid Africa & Guitar Logo.
The original November 1985 UK limited edition release on the Phonogram record label, catalogue no. FEED P1.
Matrix: FEED + P + 1 + A2 ORLAKE BILBO TAPE ONE and FEED + P + 1 + B ORLAKE BILBO TAPE ONE
Vinyl = Very Good
A few light surface marks, which appear inaudible on playback with just slight deterioration in sound quality including the inevitable bit of static crackle and pop. The clear vinyl has yellowed slightly with age, which is normal.
Record Sleeve = Very Good
This is the original plastic sleeve, which is still in very good condition with just one small seam split on one side.

Vinyl = Very Good
A few light surface marks, which appear inaudible on playback with just slight deterioration in sound quality including the inevitable bit of static crackle and pop.
Record Sleeve = Excellent
The record sleeve is in excellent condition with no damage, just a bit of ribbing to the back cover from storage and slight wear and creasing consistent with age.

Vinyl = Excellent
Just a couple of very faint surface marks only just visible in bright daylight and which are completely inaudible, and no discernible deterioration in sound quality.
Record Sleeve = Excellent
The original paper record sleeve is still in excellent condition with just light wear and creasing consistent with age.

I cannot see a single mark on the playing surface, even in bright daylight and there is also no discernible deterioration in sound quality.
Record Sleeve = Very Good
This original paper sleeve is still in Very Good condition. It is a bit creased, particularly along the leading edge and there is a short tear in this edge too. But no major damage.

I am selling my records to help pay for some essential house repairs. The pictures are of the actual record and I make every effort to describe the condition honestly and accurately. To decide the grade, I use the ‘Record Collector Magazine Grading Guide’ and I play-check every record too. I also won’t sell a record I wouldn’t buy for myself. Postage
I take care to package records properly in rigid cardboard mailers designed for the purpose and with extra protection given to the albums, so they should arrive to you in the same condition they were sent.
I do combine postage too, so if you buy more than one album please don't pay until you receive an eBay invoice from me.
You have the choice of postage service and the level of insurance protection. Please choose a postal service (and level of cover) from the table below. The default postage option is Royal Mail Small Parcel Economy, which comes with £20.00 cover against loss or damage in transit, and if you elect to pay with this default postage selected then please understand I cannot accept any additional liability. If you would prefer the Standard or Signed service please send me a message before paying and I will send you an adjusted eBay invoice.
These postage charges are the cheapest I can provide. I do not charge for packaging etc. just the actual cost of postage with eBay's 10% commission on top.

Record Collector Magazine Grading Guide
MINT | The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or un-played should be Mint.
EXCELLENT | The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD | The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD | The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR | The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR | The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD | The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
