Title: "Give Blood" Year: 2001 Condition: EX/EX
Ah, the day I never thought would arrive finally came. It's time to pass on the Bane collection. After collecting records, shirts, and posters for the past 12 years from this Boston band, circumstances have made it impossible to hang on to these. So it's with a heavy heart that I'm putting these out to the world. Hopefully they will find a good home! Here you get:
- "Give Blood" (Clear/Red vinyl, Equal Vision Records). Wow. Talk about an opus. Every once in a while, a record comes along that not only nails the genre, but redefines it. What may have started out as a "youth crew" band became so much more, and this release is the documentation of that change. What "It All Comes Down to This" may have lacked, "Give Blood" just knocks it out of the park. The legend goes that there are 50 copies of the clear/red version total, but that approximately 25 are distinctly half red, and half clear. The other 25 are more like the one here - clear with a blob of red. I'm not sure, but either way it's limited to 50 copies total in any combination. A true modern classic.
