ORIENTE - LIBRARY Lp by THE BARIGOZZI GROUP. Original Italian pressing on the JUBAL label, from circa 1972. Practically unknown Barigozzi session and the 1st release in the seldom seen Jubal Library series. Oriental mood music with several themes featuring the funky drums of Tullio De Piscopo and Barigozzi's flute with koto and exotic percussion (chinese bells / gongs / finger cymbals etc). SOL LEVANTE is built around an alternative drum riddim of De Piscopo's Coagulation theme (the track from his debut Fastness single and Suonando La Batteria drum instruction Lp). More funky oriental hip hop on MALESIA / LAVORAZIONE DELL'AVORIO / BENGALIA and stripped down funky koto groove a la Tali Bong with bamboo flute interlude on RIKSCIO. Hallucinogenic bells and meditative jazz flute overdubs on COMPOSIZIONE FLOREALE and trippy sitar mantras throughout RITO INDIANO. If you like Rino De Filippi's Oriente Oggi Library then you really need this Barigozzi Lp.
