Description
Up for auction is a very clean copy of the Baron Von Ohlen Quartet (featuring Mary Ann Moss) album "The Baron" released on Creative World Records (CW3001) in 1973. This is a guaranteed original stereo first pressing. A very rare jazz/funk classic. Incredible jazz vocals by Mary Ann Moss.
The cover is in great condition. Front cover is very clean, with very few signs of previous wear or handling. Image is bright and clear. Small amount of faint rubbing in lower middle and top left corner. Seams are tight and intact, no splits, no cracks. Corners are sharp, no bumping. Back cover is clean, no ring wear or writing, no age discoloration. Small amount of rubbing near top edge (see photo), though it doesn't detract from the overall excellent impression. I'd grade the cover Near Mint Minus (NM-).
The vinyl is super clean, retaining all of its original high gloss shine. No scratches or scuffing, very clean. Very few, if any, signs of previous handling or play. Labels are bright and clean, no marks around spindle holes. I wouldn't be surprised if this copy has been played only once previously. Very attractive condition. Play tested, overall it plays very nicely, no defects to speak of. I'd grade the vinyl as Near Mint (NM).
This is one of the nicest copies that you will find. Would be very hard to upgrade.
