New Sealed! 2013 Baroness - Live At Maida Vale - BBC (Songs Taken From The Rock Show on BBC Radio 1, First Broadcast on the 13th of July 2012) - Relapse Records US Pressing on 12" Black EP with Four Tracks on Side A and an Etching on Side B. Limited to Only 2,000 Made! This Rare & Desirable Pressing is known for its Great Live Tracks and Unique Art. This Limited Pressing has become difficult to find in this Pristine New Condition. The album came new in a resealable poly outer sleeve and it has been professionally stored and has never been opened, handled, or played. "This EP consists of four songs from the "Yellow & Green" album, recorded live in the summer of 2012 at the BBC's legendary Maida Vale studio. It's a time capsule of sorts; not long after it was recorded, the band was in the well-documented bus crash that left several members grievously injured, and their future very much in doubt. Baroness has since risen from the ashes, but drummer Allen Blickle and bassist Matt Maggioni have left the band. This EP marks Blickle's and Maggioni's final recording with Baroness, and they are in top form here, along with guitarist Pete Adams and lead vocalist and guitarist John Baizley. Baizley's in fine voice in this recording, his singing even better on these live songs than it is on the original studio versions. My favorite track is probably "Cocainium;" stripped of the dreamy synth-pop flourishes found on the studio recording, it becomes a driving rocker in this live setting. My only complaint is that there's a live audience here, but we don't really get to hear them, so I guess this will have to do until Baroness releases a live album or a concert film. (Pretty please?!?) This EP is a nice little addition to your collection if you're a Baroness fan, and a good introduction for the uninitiated." - Fan of this Release.
