BARRY WHITE'S Greatest Hits is the first and most enduring hits collection from the architect of orchestral soul. Released in 1975 on 20th Century Records, it pulls together ten of his biggest singles from 1973 to 1975 — all in alternate versions exclusive to this LP, with different mixes, added percussion, and arrangements that differ meaningfully from both the original album tracks and the 7" singles.

When the album was reissued on CD years later, several tracks were replaced with the standard versions. The vinyl original is the only place to hear these specific mixes.

The tracklist covers the full run of White's commercial peak: "What Am I Gonna Do With You," "You're the First, the Last, My Everything," "Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe" (Grammy Award, Best Rhythm & Blues Song, 1975), "Honey Please, Can't Ya See," "Love Serenade," "Never Never Gonna Give Ya Up," "I'm Gonna Love You Just a Little More, Baby," "I've Found Someone," "I've Got So Much to Give," and "Standing in the Shadows of Love." Produced and conducted by Barry White. Liner notes written by his wife Glodean B. White. Cover designed by Kosh/AGI, Hollywood.

This is an original U.S. first pressing from the 1975 release run, pressed at Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Pitman, NJ. The cover is the signature gold foil gatefold, embossed front and back — the presentation this album was designed for. Later reissues do not have the foil cover.

The custom tan and brown "Barry White's Greatest Hits" label is correct for this pressing — ornate script lettering unique to this release, not used on any other 20th Century title.
