Description

THE BLUES MAGOOS - BASIC BLUES MAGOOS, Mercury SR61167, rare green label stereo promotional pressing, released in 1968. Vinyl is a lustrous NM- with a just a couple superficial scuffs; plays great. Unipack gatefold cover is a solid VG+ with just a bit of edge, corner and ring wear, no splits or writing. For their 3rd album, the Blues Magoos take their cue from the late 60s British psych scene, even covering the Move's "I Can Hear the Grass Grow." Pretty cool stuff, and a very collectible copy of a classic lp; very rare also, with the green promo label. I've been collecting classic rock 'n' roll, soul, rhythm & blues and folk music for over 35 years, so I know how important great pop music is to you.
