THE BATISTE BROTHERS BAND – “Freeze” (1982) Dynasty-181952
One of the rarest local New Orleans private funk LPs by a legendary musical family here in the Crescent City. A young Russell Batiste, today the drummer for The Funky Meters, lays down the beat here too. This is best described as Zapp-like funk, with synth and heavy grooves. This has the massive “Freeze,” plus other favorites like “Party Down,” “Hooked on You,” “It’s All About the Family,” and others.
This copy has the original lyric inner sleeve plus very minor spine wear, and the vinyl has a few very light brush scuffs to the wax – it’s super clean and plays great. I grade this a solid Strong VG+/Strong VG+ (cov/rec).
Winner pays postage. Domestic U.S. shipping is $3.50 media rate or $6 for priority mail (insurance additional and quoted at cost). I will quote overseas postage when overseas winning bidder specifies air/surface mail.
I package all LPs securely in record mailers and remove the vinyl from the covers to prevent seam splits during mailing. I do not just stick your record in a priority mailer box from the post office or between two thin pieces of cardboard with no additional packaging materials like so many others!!!
Personal checks are cool for payment but must clear (10 business days). Money orders get next day shipping. Overseas, we'll work this out – I’m really flexible.
