We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. "Battersea Station" by Juniors Eyes has always been difficult to find because A&M signed the band, then the people who decide such things at A&M promptly buried the album with no promotion or front-line distribution, probably because the band lacked the "hit" sound designed for RADIO play. That's a good thing for record collectors looking for hard to find rarities from the 60's and early '70's. By the time Juniors Eyes released "Battersea Power Station" in 1969, members like founder Mick Wayne had already a notable history in the British music scene, as had Juniors Eyes whom David Bowie chose for his back up band and appear with Bowie on "Space Oddity" and the highly sought David Bowie album "Man Of Words,Man Of Music" which includes Space Oddity.
JUNIOR'S EYES were founded by Mick Wayne in London, 1968, with Steve Chapman (drums) and Honk (John Lodge) on bass, they quickly signed a record deal with Denny Cordell/Tony Visconti Productions. They were managed by Blackhills (T.Rex, Pink Floyd, etc.), who organized the Hyde Park concerts, and Junior's first concert was with Traffic. Many other gigs and benefits followed closely, such as the Londons Marquee, Roundhouse and Middle Earth in London and then various venues and festivals up and down Great Britain and Europe including Star Club Hamburg and Beat Club TV in Bremen. In 1969, they recorded their only album 'Battersea Power Station', followed by some singles.
In basic terms "Battersea Power Station" is a hard edged rock band with leader Mick Wayne at the controls and having written all the songs, he guides the group with considerable talent which is quite obvious when hearing the album. Juniors Eyes perform with strong varied styles that include epic progressive rock and psych tones, sometimes using dark atmospherics, sometimes with heavy/hard rock moves and altogether featuring robust intelligent lyrics highlighting the Juniors Eyes album.The group no doubt had considerable talent having been chosen by David Bowie to be his back up band and having been involved in all things Bowie, Juniors Eyes, learned a lot as their album offers plenty of smart and worthy songs, good hooks injected in the melodies. Highlights include, the freaky "White Light", the Tyrannosaurus Rex styled "I'm Drowning" and, elsewhere, among others, the cool rocker "So Embarrassed" - overall the album is worthwhile to every hard rock or underground 60s fans. "Battersea Power Station" by Junior's Eyes remains a lost gem..

The "Fan Man" adds background information:
Mick Wayne's first group was 'The Outsiders', with Jimmy Page on guitar. After recording one single for Decca Records in 1965, the Outsiders broke up the following year at which point Wayne joined Hull musicians 'The Hullaballoos', replacing Ricky Knight briefly before they too broke up. He made an attempt to form a new line-up in Hull with drummer John Cambridge but soon returned to London (Cambridge later joined Hull band 'The Rats', with guitarist Mick Ronson). Wayne next joined the 'Bunch of Fives' (including ex-Pretty Things drummer Viv Prince) during 1966 and this band evolved into 'The Tickle', with band members Mick Wayne (guitar), Mike Docker (vocals), Dave Williams (keyboards), Richard Dowling (bass) and John Beckerman (drums).[1] The Tickle's only single - "Subway (Smokey Pokey World)" - has appeared on many psychedelic compilation albums, including Acid Drops, Spacedust & Flying Saucers: Psychedelic Confectionery.
Junior's Eyes
After the break-up of the Tickle, Mick Wayne formed Junior's Eyes in early 1968, initially with drummer John 'Candy' Carr and then with John 'Honk' Lodge (ex-Graham Bond Organisation) (bass) and Steve Chapman (drums). They recorded a debut single with the help of pianist Rick Wakeman and producer Tony Visconti. The trio added singer Graham 'Grom' Kelly and (briefly) organist John Redfern in late 1968 and began work on an album. Battersea Power Station was released in June 1969.[1]
That same month, Mick Wayne and Rick Wakeman were among the guest musicians who recorded David Bowie's breakthrough hit "Space Oddity". For the follow-up Space Oddity album recorded between June and September 1969, Bowie and producer Visconti were backed by a new line-up of Junior's Eyes comprising Mick Wayne (guitar), John 'Honk' Lodge (bass), John Cambridge (drums) and Tim Renwick (guitar, flute, recorder). The same band backed Bowie on a BBC Radio Dave Lee Travis Show session in October 1969, and (without Wayne) on single B-side "Conversation Piece", recorded in January 1970. Wayne had also helped record James Taylor's debut album between July and October 1968, and Honk had played on the album Think Pink (track "Rock and Roll the Joint") by Pretty Things drummer Twink in July 1969. These recording session for other artists disrupted the progress of the band, and the new line-up recorded only one single. They played their final gig on 3 February 1970, supporting Bowie. At this gig Cambridge introduced Bowie to his former 'Rats' bandmate Mick Ronson, and within days Cambridge, Ronson and Visconti (playing bass) were Bowie's new backing band 'The Hype', but Cambridge departed at the end of March. .....
