B.B. KING
"COMPLETELY WELL"
ORIGINAL 1969 PRESSING
GATEFOLD RECORD ALBUM LP
BLUESWAY RECORDS #BLS-6037
This is a Mint, Like New vinyl record in a Near Mint jacket. The record is extremely clean, free of any imperfections and appears to be unplayed or hardly played. The record also comes in a Mint original graphic innersleeve that features the artists and albums recorded on the Bluesway label in the 1960s.
Completely Well was B.B. King's breakthrough album in 1969, which finally got him the long-deserved acclaim that was no less than his due. It contained his signature number, "The Thrill Is Gone," and eight other tunes, six of them written by King, usually in a co-writing situation. This is truly the album that made the world sit up and take notice of B.B. King. The loose arrangements and a small combo behind him never gets in the way. B.B. King, for his part, sounds like he's having a ball, playing and singing at peak power. On this album, B.B. King's greatness comes through. He has the power to take you out of yourself and into his music whenever you hear him, and that's the mark of a true artist.
If this is your first album by the "King of the Blues" this is a great place to start your B.B. King collection.
