Universally hailed as the king of the blues, the legendary B.B. King was without a doubt the single most important electric guitarist of the last half of the 20th century.

B.B. King Wails was originally released in 1959, noted as B.B. King fronting a big band that glides through ballad-heavy material. While this was a successful direction for King, the following year he released My Kind of Blues, which was a complete turnaround, stripping the instrumentation to the bare essentials, sans orchestra. This LP presents a compilation of both fantastic albums.
