This album has never had a CD release.

Vinyl - VG-EX. Superbly clean on visual inspection. Just a couple of light scuffs on each side, which don't affect playback. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is great. Wonderfully clear vocals. A fantastic listen.
Outer sleeve (cover) - EX. Colours are unfaded and clean. Very light scuffing to corners. Edges, spine and aperture are clean and unscuffed. Front cover is very clean with no obvious marks. Reverse side is similarly clean but just a few short creases. Slight top edge damage. Disc outline visible here too. Overall excellent.
Inner sleeve - EX. Original. White EMI paper with curved corners. A few creases and folds mainly at aperture edge. Printed text one side. Intact.

The plot:
Set during the Second World War (in the period just after the German surrender when the Allies were trying to finish the war by defeating Japan in Asia), the show focuses on a group of British soldiers stationed at the Royal Artillery Depot in Deolali, India (where soldiers were kept before being sent to fight at the front lines). The main characters are performers in the base's Concert Party, which involved putting on comic acts and musical performances (similar to those seen in a music hall) for the other soldiers prior to their departure for the front lines. The soldiers in the Concert Party all love this particular job, as it keeps them out of combat duty (though some do harbour dreams of becoming world-famous actors when they leave the army).

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
