Description

This rare official broadcast vinyl was created for the BBC and syndicate U.S. radio station airplay and was not for commercial sale. BBC TRANSCRIPTION SERVICES 12" vinyl long-play record (Made in England) Stereo Pop Special 60 CN 1970/S (year 1974) features RAB NOAKES and LINDISFARNE in Concert (both sides). Overall this copy is in very good condition with limited airplay playback.  Rab Noakes was a Scottish singer-songwriter. He was at the forefront of Scottish folk music for over 50 years. In 1970. Noakes released his first album, Do You See the Lights, a blend of easy-going country rock which included the songs "Too Old to Die", "Together Forever" and "Somebody Counts on Me". In 1971, he was a founding member of the folk rock band Stealers Wheel. Lindisfarne are an English folk rock band from Newcastle upon Tyne established in 1968. The original line-up comprised Alan Hull (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Ray Jackson (vocals, mandolin, harmonica), Simon Cowe (guitar, mandolin, banjo, keyboards), Rod Clements (bass guitar, violin) and Ray Laidlaw.
