Description
Here is a set of 9 BBC Radioplay LP records and one by Walter Rizzati who was frequently heard on BBC tv..I cannot guarantee the tracks on this album were or were not used in any particular capaicty. In times gone by the BBC were restricted to 'so many' minutes per hour in which they could play commercially-available recordings. The rest of the time would be filled with interviews, Jimmy Young's recipe of the day and music compiled on to LPs like these. Mainly out-takes recorded abroad the BBC had therefore a ready supply of recordings which sounded identical to the version you could buy in the shops yet the specific 'take' was not available to the public and could therefore be used as non-needletime music. These LPs were never commercially released otherwise that would have meant the BBC could not use them. However now you can have some of these great musical treasures which, if ever you wrote in, you'd be told "unfortunately we use a special recording which is not available to the public".

Postage cost does not include insurance: Ebay won;t allow me to enter the correct figure for some reason. To send these by courier to include full insurance will cost an extra £1,50. I know this from sending the last batch!
