Description
Possibly the rarest of the Top of The Pops BBC transcription series. This is the pre-series preview disc sent out to radio stations in mid-1964 to sell the idea of a regular music programme from the heart of swinging London.
The show consists of BBC-recorded sessions from the following artists:
THE BEATLES - Long Tall Sally, Hard Days Night (with an interview), The Things We Said Today (These tracks from the first ever Top Gear Session on 16 July 1964)
DUSTY SPRINGFIELD - I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself, La Bamba
MARK WYNTER - Knock On Your Door, You've Gotta Take the Bucket To The Well, Memphis Tennessee
THE MIGIL FIVE - Unchain My Heart, Near You, Roll 'em Pete
BRIAN POOLE AND THE TREMELOES - Walk Right In, Baby Blue, Someone Someone
A real piece of pop history. Although the sleeve has some wear and tear (well it is 40 years old), the record itself is in excellent condition, and plays perfectly.
