Description

GENUINE "BBC TRANSCRIPTION PROGRAMME RECORD" FROM 1974

You are looking at a very rare record "Top of the Pops" no. 489.

I believe (but cannot be sure) that only 100 or so were produced and many of these were destroyed.

With performances live in the studio. This record includes QUEEN with a very early live recording of the "Seven seas of Rye"  Brian Matthews comments "some say they're the ultimate rip off, others say they're bound to be the next big sensation" (an early indication of the senstaion they were to become...) also includes "Funny how love is" and The fairy fellows master stroke"

Side one -  "A Presented Show" duration 46'00" MONO

artist include:

WINGS - "JET"

ELTON JOHN - "BENNY & THE JETS"

JULIAN CAMBELL (Marmalade) "WONDERING MAN"

MEDICINE HEAD - "SLIP & SLIDE"

QUEEN - "SEVEN SEAS OF RYE"

ELTON JOHN - "THIS SONG HAS NO TITLE"

Side two - "A presented show"   interview with John of Medicine Head dicussing the early days as a duo before they became a five piece band.

JNR CAMPBELL - "CAROLINA DAYS"

QUEEN - " THE FAIRY FELLOWS MASTER STROKE"

QUEEN - "FUNNY HOW LOVE IS"

NAZERETH - SHANGHI'D IN SHANGHI

This is a must have for any serious collector or fan.  I am having a good clear out and it seems a pity to keep it when I don't even have a record player.

an opportunity to own some original musical history

All my items are sent with great care, as I would expect to receive them.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.  Happy bidding!!
