presents a personal tribute to JIM MORRISON, JOHN DENSMORE
and ROBBY KRIEGER of The Doors. The programme contains several of The Doors
successful tracks. These tracks are linked together by Manzarek’s thoughts
and reminiscences which offer insights into the creative workings of the band.
In THE POLITICS OF POP, Andy Kershaw examines the relationship between
pop music and politics in the company of, among others, Billy Bragg, Kirsty MacColl,
members of ‘indie’ bands Chumbawamba and The Wedding Present.
There are short musical contributions from the artists interviewed, and others.
