Introduced by actor Michael Hordern, this is a sampler disc sent out to radio station sin North America in the late 50's to try and get them to buy some of the BBC's recorded radio output. includes excerpts from the Aldeburgh Festival, Antony & Cleopatra (Shakespeare), The Country Wife, A Doll's House, Glyndebourne Opera, the Leningrad Symphony Orchestra and features people like Sir Thomas Beecham, Maria Callas, Aaron Copland, Sir Alec Guinness, Otto Klemperer, Sir Michael Redgrave and Dame Edith Sitwell amongst many other. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- will sell worldwide, but will calculate postage after the auction has finished. ======================================================================================================
