Description
BBC Transcription Service - Semprini Serenade 1 & 2 - 115025/6 - CN 347
The rare first disc in a long line of Semprini recordings including spoken word introductions to piano and orchestral medleys from familiar films and shows recorded by the Transcription Service for the BBC.
Visible condition: Slightly tatty sleeve as shown in photos with some writing on sleeve and disc labels. Discs have some surface marks.
Listening condition: The first half of the first track on side 1 is affected by a scratch which causes some skipping. The rest of the disc, although with some surface marks, plays very well but expect crackles pops and noise throughout as this is a well played 54 year old vinyl.
At the end of both sides after the needle has moved to the centre there is loud crackling as it waits to be lifted. Possibly a manufacturing issue or maybe where it was left spinning with a needle still in the groove.
Happy bidding!
