Description
Pair of 10" vinyl transcription discs for two complete shows from the 1950's . Each disc has one half of each show so both discs are needed to hear the complete show. These are sadly missing their relevant continuity sheets ( it is possible I have them but assume not).
The shows appear to be from series about 1957 judging from the expiry date.
Two episodes of the comedy starring Dick Bentley, Jimmy Edwards, June Whitfield, Wallace Eaton & The Keynotes.
Written by Frank Muir And Denis Norden.
Episode 217 kicks off with a Jim calling back his Christmas cards for reuse and a sketch about his meaness.
In episode 218 with a sketch about Bentley winning a £40 prize for an advert/slogan for Drexo.
The records have some surface marks but plays through with the odd pop and crackle but nothing overwhelming.Labels as shown.
Transcription discs were issued in very limited quantities for distribution to BBC and client radio stations to distribute shows for broadcast. They usually have unique material and production numbers were very low,
The albums will be securely shipped in a Musicmax mailing box designed for shipment of vinyl records.
Mutiple orders can be combined to save postage costs - please do not pay invoices until I can combine them though .
More Transcription discs to come from a variety of shows, musical and comedy.
