DEBUT album from Be Bob Deluxe, the yorkshire band led by the rather enigmatic super guitarist Bill Nelson. I remember when this record first came out and seeing it in my local record store - the cover was a stunning design incorporating a human skull into the body of an electric guitar. I bought it right then and there and when I got home and played the vinyl I was blown away! As a Be Bop convert I saw the band play many times over the years and they never disapointed and the album kept on getting better and better - then Bill woke up one morning and disolved the band!
This album is a brilliant fusion of progressive rock, hard rock and what was being termed at the time as art-rock. That was the beauty of Be Bob Deluxe, although they drew from a variety of musical infleunces they would never settle on any particular style - it gave them a unique sound. Imagine a blazing combination of Sparks, Roxy Music, Queen and Genesis and that'll give you some idea of where they were coming from musically.
Some great tracks here including the mercurial 'Jet Silver And The Dolls Of Venus', the surreal 'Adventures In A Yorkshire Landscape' and the brave 'Rocket Cathedrals'. All amazing stuff - no filler.

Cover: Again, only minor signs of use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated gatefold cover - nearly always found trashed. This one is in nice condition. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, faint ring wear to rear and no split seams. Spine is straight, stiff and uncrushed. Displays a faint storage wear. Grades as Ex+
