NEWSAGENT'S DESCRIPTION

This listing is for the original 1969 U.S. stereo pressing of 20/20, the fifteenth studio album by American rock group The Beach Boys, released by Capitol Records (SKAO-133). Arriving during one of the band's most creatively transitional periods, 20/20 brings together recordings from several sessions and showcases a broader, more eclectic Beach Boys sound, moving beyond their early surf-pop identity into psychedelic pop and sophisticated studio experimentation.

The album includes the hit “Do It Again,” the Dennis Wilson compositions “Be with Me” and “All I Want to Do,” and the Carl Wilson-led “I Can Hear Music,” written by Jeff Barry, Ellie Greenwich, and Phil Spector and originally recorded by the Ronettes. It also features the Brian Wilson compositions “Our Prayer” and “Cabinessence,” both originating during sessions for the Beach Boys’ legendary unfinished Smile project.

This pressing was manufactured by the Capitol Records Pressing Plant in Jacksonville, Illinois and is presented in stereo. It comes in the  original Unipak-style jacket, includes its original paper inner sleeve, and has been play tested and ultrasonically cleaned.
