Description
Up for auction is a copy of a promotional EP for the Beach Boys self-titled, Steve Levine-produced 1985 LP, released on CBS/Caribou, cat no XPS 206. Both sides include unique edited versions of Getcha Back, Passing Friend, Crack At Your Love, I’m So Lonely & Maybe I Don’t Know. I guess it was intended for play in record shops, but who knows? Barely documented on the web, this is a real obscurity; this is only the 2nd copy I’ve ever come across.
Condition: a few minor marks on one side, not seriously affecting play. The other side is as new (both sides contain the same material). Plain white labels, some minor wear on one label, the other has “Beach Boys” written in biro. EX all round.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item pictured here is the item for sale.
