Here is another gem from my own mostly Nr Mint personal collection (which I am selling off gradually to lessen the pain...)  You are bidding on a STUNNING ORIGINAL UK 1966 Capitol Records UK Earliest 1st Mono Pressing of what is considered by many to be the greatest record ever made; 'Pet Sounds' by The Beach Boys!!! It is the Original 1966 UK Mono 1st Pressing (-1//-1 matrix) on 1st press 'Rainbow' Capital labels with Embossed KT Tax code and 1st press front-laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve with the correct 1st press 'pleated' spine ends!!! This is a very hard to find record, especially in anything approaching Excellent condition!!! Considering the price this will fetch I want to give you every detail of the record, no matter how small, so check out the description below and if you are not sure of anything just ask... It really is a stunning 1st press copy of a  very rare LP - It's as simple as that - original UK Mono Capital 1st (-1//-1) pressings have all but dried up now in the UK, and to find one like this is almost impossible!!! - Don't miss out on this mega rare opportunity...

This is it - Brian Wilson's minor key classic "Teenage ode to God", in most people's top 5 albums of all time, and so beautifully arranged that it can quite happily sit amongst the best music ever composed, including Beethoven, Mozart et al. Delicate, fragile and absolutely beautiful from start to finish, only truly accessible to the most deeply hurt (or loving) souls. I could write all night about why everyone should own this record, but I figure if you're already reading this you know the deal.  As Capitol had misgivings about the commercial appeal of Pet Sounds (they could not immediately identify any obvious 'hit singles' to keep them happy - which is absolutely absurd today when you look a the track listing...erm... 'God only Knows' anyone?) Bizarrely, the public were in agreement with the Capitol execs at the time and were pretty lukewarm to Pet Sounds on its release, and for years it remained the worst seller of all the classic BB albums. The upshot of all this is that VERY FEW initial copies of Pet Sounds were ever printed. Of those few copies printed, very few were printed in MONO, most were in a nasty fake 'electronic' stereo format which sounded horrible. This is the legendary 1966 UK 1st press MONO version. A warmer more beautifully welcoming and human sounding copy of Pet Sounds you will not find. Exactly as Brian Wilson meant it to sound.

The Classic 'rainbow rim' KT embossed 1st press Capital Records 1st Press centre labels are in great condition!!! They have NO Tears, NO Scribbles. NO lifting or Bubbling and NO unwanted writing of any kind to whatsoever - just some spindle lines on both sides. The thick & chunky quality pressed vinyl is is superb condition!!! Most of these Mono 1st pressings were played to death in the 1960's and only turn up today full of scratches with a dull sheen and totally worn out. This one is NOT and the record stills retains a beautiful sheen!!! The record still retains ALL its original gloss and shine and has NO dulling and NO nasty greying of the grooves!!! It easily grades as Excellent (most would grade much higher!) with just one or two of the lightest paper lines (simply caused by removing the record from its inner sleeve!) There is some minor background crackle in a very few places which certainly CANNOT be heard over the music!!! However Like I said, it easily grades as Excellent!!!! Believe me this record is NOT over-graded in ANY way!!! The original 1st press Garrod & Lofthouse front laminated flipback sleeve is in super condition!!! It has the correct 'pinched' spine ends and looks superb!!! It has retained all it stiffness (not gone floppy and lifeless like most around today) and has NO Tears, No Seam Wear At All!!! There is obviously No Seam splitting and very little of the feathering of the opening edge, which blights this sleeve!!! There are NO Stains, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!! The thick laminate has retained all of its original clarity, allowing the colours of the sleeve to retain all their original brightness and vibrancy, there is NO yellowing or discoloration of the artwork. There are just some light laminate creases to the front. It has a good strong spine with Mint legible spine text!!!  A beautiful cover indeed, which easily grades as a Excellent- if not better!!! Believe me, like all our other records this is in no way over-graded!!! Comes complete with it's original 'EMI Ads' Inner sleeve, which is in superb Excellent condition!!! A truly beautiful example of a very, very rare record!!! Don't miss this one!!!

Postage ... Hazey Jane has absolutely NO hidden surcharges; the price you win is the price you pay, just add the relevant postage, it's as simple as that! We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.

A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards.  If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.

We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed.
