THE BEACH BOYS: Barbara Ann / Girl Don´t Tell Me (´66 / orig. German issue / CAPITOL K 23137 / violet label / very rare 1st p/s variation with "car" p/s - please note: only very few initial copies of "Barbara Ann" had this 1st p/s variation, I presume, that the number of German "Barbara Ann" 45s with a "car" p/s is even less than 1% of all copies of this song (the German issue of "Barbara Ann" isn´t a great rarity, but with a "car" p/s it´s quite scarce!)

DESCRIPTION:

5 cm seam split on the left side down from the top, 2,5 cm seam split on the right side down from the top, 2,5 cm seam split on the right side in the middle and 5 cm seam split at the bottom (there´s a tiny diagonal tear of ca. 3 mm length from the seam split on the right side into the frontside of the p/s) / there´s a removed taping on the upper part of the right seam, which has caused a slight discolouration (please note: the taping was somewhat longer than the actual seam split!) / the bottom seam has also a minimal discolouration from a removed taping (but this is barely visible, albeit there are a few light traces of glue in the place, where the taping has been removed) / tiny writing on the left side at the top of the back sleeve / the corners and the top of the p/s are slightly bent, and there are two tiny tears into the top opening of the backside (only 3 mm resp. 2 mm length) / light ringwear on the frontside, only very light ringwear on the backside (as you´ll see in the scan, in a small place next to Al Jardine´s head the ringwear on the frontside is either a little bit stronger or this is a small stain) / overall the back sleeve is in slightly better condition (ca. VG to VG(+) ) than the frontside (condition: ca. VG to VG(-) / the "general" grading above is a bit lower because of the seam splits) / the vinyl has some hairlines and a few - albeit only very light - surface scratches, but there are no deeper serious scratches / the labels are clean
