ISSUED IN 1966!

This must be one of the rarest records ever listed and it definately must be for beach boys records.The track listing on this album is totally different to the track listing of the mid 60s release of 'best of the beach boys'infact this promo album takes in tracks from volumes 2 & 3 also!!.Tracks are,

Side1.1/sloop john b,2/surfin safari,3/the warmth of the sun.4/you're so good to me.5/dont worry baby.6/do you wanna dance.7/here today.

Side2.1/wendy.2/i get around.3/surfin usa.4/california girls.5/shut down.6/help me rhonda.7/god only knows.

I think you will agree,some terrific tracks.

On the rear of the sleeve each track is listed along with a/ its individual running time",b/ the album it is taken from,c/ the cat number of that album!.

The 'MONO' record is in stunning condition bright shiny vinyl,it retains all of its deep lustre,i have only played the record once (and i have had it a few years) on my linn lp12 t/table,it was superb.

The greyish coloured 'EMI' labels clearly states 'DEMONSTRATION RECORD' (not for sale) see image,and are in near mint condition!! 'kt' tax code on side 2 label.

The stunning 'ernest j day' flipback sleeve is also in excellent condition,fully laminated on the front with THE BEACH BOYS repeated 7 times across the front,the rear is also excellent,matt finish it is nice and clean,sides 1&2 track listings in individual squares!

In conclusion this is a massively rare item i doubt never seen on e-bay.

I have seen this item featured in a 'millers'guide.
