This original "Garrod & Lofthouse"sleeve is in top condition! There are no significant creases or folds in the laminated front cover,or traces of any laminate lift.The opening edge is nice and tight with no feathering,this lp could only have been taken out a handful of times.The rear of the cover is unlaminated as expected,with the flip over edges,all nice and tight and undamaged.The white background retains its brightness with no signs of yellowing.There are no marks,notations or writing .All the signs of a first release copy are here,including the "Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse ltd.Patents pending" notation on lower righthand flipback. The spine retains its solid new look with the lp details clear and bold.The original inner sleeve is here too. Overall an original ,top collectors grade, copy of this famous Lp cover.   THE VINYL RECORD   Original UK 1966 release on Capitol /EMi records,cat no.T2458. Original 1st release "Rainbow Labels",Matrix no. side 1 is T1 2458-1,and on side 2 is T2 2458-1.   With "1" in the lefthand sidBq; nonsession=BAQAAAS6NnPogAAaAthe righthand side of the run-off  side 1. And "1" in the lefthand side of the run-off and "GL" in the righthand side of the run-off side 2. Side 1 has the " K T" tax code imprinted on the label close to the spindle hole.   CONDITION   As to condition,well what can I say? other than,this lp vinyl appears to be unplayed,although I have played it once on a topnotch Linn Lp12 deck with a £600 Transfiguration Stylus,to produce a CD.There are no marks,no scratches,no spindle wear or "spiders",whatsoever!! just the usual tiny,almost invisible hairline marks from pulling the lp in and out of the inner sleeeve. The lp retains its as new sheen, and clean "static" feel " when removed from its inner sleeve.  You would be hard pressed to find a used copy in similar amazing condition,I have had this Lp for many years now and have always regarded it as a reference zenith point for collecting Sixties lps.   With regards to playback/sound quality? Mindblowing!! I have listened to it only once, as stated earlier to make a CD,not wanting to risk any deteriation of the vinyl.The Mono cutting is fab,and I actually prefer its stronger vibrancy when compared the stereo version.The run-ins are  silent and the quieter sections and gaps between tracks are silky silents too.Crystal clear sound with no pops or clicks,just a tiny hint of normal background noise at the start of each track  that is always there(at very high volumes though) to remind you that you are playing a record. When making my CD's I use a software program to clean up recordings from lps,let me assure you that this is one of the very few lps that I have copied to CD that required NO cleaning or adjustments at all to produce a clean recording!!!.This usually only occurs with brand new lps that I have been purchasing recently(Simply Vinyl etc reissues).   So there we have it,a very rare chance to obtain one of the most significant albums of all time in its original as very very near to mint state.This is one for the archives without a doubt and would grace any serious collector of top quality original sixties lps.    This album appears on Ebay all the time but I assure you will never beat this one for condition!!Full refund is guaranteed in the unlikely event the purchaser is disappointed!      Thank you for taking the time to read my auction and good luck if you decide to bid.   More photos can be sent if requested by email.   Special additional postage options are available upon request,as is collection in person(subject to arrangement and cash payment)
